This album is all linkin park. U people just can't comprehend them doig great different music. It has songs from each member n there style in it. There are great professional reviews on this album as the best they have ever done, catalyst sitting in first place rock song for 5 weeks now, the album will have great success and some fans will not like it and many will, it will also gain new fans. They didn't hook us with first 2 albums and they told us about changes. Numetal is dead. Its not 1999 anymore. There are some great tracks on this album, sik beats, great flow, shinodas singing n rappen is at its best, the lyrics are less childish poetry n more comples n meaningful then first 2 albums, I didn't like the M2M change as much as this one. As an album it is great n gets better the more times it plays in my car, that's a good album period

Well I've now spent most of the day listening to it. Sometimes in bits and pieces and a few times all in one go. I have to say the album is better listening to all in one go. The more I'm listening to it, to more I'm liking it. My initial reaction was luke warm and similar to when I heard the Catalyst, thinking what the hell. Now I'm really liking it!! Will be interesting to see which songs they sing live. I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that the reason they hadn't played no roads left was because Mike wasn't confident enough about his singing live when compared to his rap style (I may be wrong here, I only think I read this). Mike sings on some of the best songs on this album.

hey guys, "no name" is not only a person:
we are a group of friends who adored Lp musics and we share the same point of view on this album, we appreciate what they do but ATS REALLY SUCKS, that's why we have created just one account without a name so as to write different comments.
you should not consider "no name" as a person who dislike ATS but as a "critical spirit" which is reflecting the thoughts of many people.

Well, I'm pretty sure that they are going to read this discussion.
But I hope they won't change because of that.
They will continue to do what they feel inside their hearts and minds. They shouldn't listen to our desires, they have to listen to their hearts and remain true to their feelings.

My theory is that the music that they offer in ATS is just a mirror of their current way of feeling and thinking, which sadly, it is not that great, at least for many of their fans. Maybe they need to remember how they felt in their beginnings.

Sadly with the thing that im reading here, this album will not be a big time seller also the rock specialist are putting internet critics, that arent very good... i dont know maybe LP take it too far.

Also when MTM come out also have some critics (more less that this one) but that was an album that you can say, ok... is different but i can deal with it becasuse like gustavo said have really good songs, but if they work that hard and this come out i dont know what to think, lets face it, like i said before if you take 2 or 3 songs this isnt a rock album.

And maybe also they have to remember where they come from, because if they say something like "im sorry but this is what we do now" i have to think that they do the first records to "hook" people and now when we already buy the records and all that stuff, now they dont give a damm what we think the fans that we are with them since the beginning. I think that would be very unfair, and i have to say it that i was another one that almost pre-order the new album, thank god i didn´t... let´s wait another 3 year to see what happend.

The way i see it, LP since MTM don´t have any other record i will pretend that this album never have been done because i know LP is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay much better than this, and all of us that hear them from the beginning know that, LP can be the best kick ass band of all time, but with things like these... i doubt it...

I hope they know that reading this discussion that already have 7 pages, they take note all the people that dissagree with this album and can think about what they are going to do, because if you REALY know something about music can´t say that this album is a masterpiece is a copy of a lot of music with little changes even there in waiting for the end at 2:20 or near that, the beat (if you pay attention) is a little the same to the beat of Beck-Looser, is really sad comming from such a great band like LP.

Hope not to hurt anybody with my opinion...

I actually quite like it. It is very different, but so was Meteora from Hybrid Theory, and then the same for Minutes To Midnight, and now this. It's also great to hear more of Mike, especially singing more. He really has worked hard on his singing voice, and it really shows on this album. No Roads Left was awesome, but you could tell Mike's not a natural singer. Well done Mike though, your voice is very impressive now.

If you just listen to the songs and not the interludes, they are very good in their own rights. Each song sounds completely different to the previous one, which is a nice change from some other artists albums.

Those people who are crying out for more Hybrid Theory and Meteora type music, save it, it's not going to happen. The band have moved on, and so should you. Also, you really need to listen to the lyrics of "When They Come For Me" very closely, Mike pretty much sums it all up there for you....

Also, have a listen to some of the band's work that pre-dates Hybrid Theory, there are a few similarities to what they made back then in some of the new songs.

The only grievance I have with the album is the fact that it only really has 9 songs on it. When I saw the track listing a month or so ago, I was like "yes, 15 tracks, LP are spoiling us!", it's a shame really as I'm sure that there were plenty of other good songs that could have made the album, knowing LP and their writing process. Seems a little bit of a waste, like leaving No Roads Left off the original release of Minutes To Midnight.

I'm pretty sure I remember all the same reactions on here when Minutes To Midnight was released....

Hmm, Very professional discuss n also a good message for the depressed fans (not the loyal ones) who want destroy the band with asking them to keep doing material like Hybrid theory n Meteora over n over again.
one more thing, I'm pretty sure that linkin park know that if they just did a material like there old (with very less work than what they did in ATS) it will be ok for many fans, but they didnt they welly like what they doing n always searching for something new to challenge them self with it.

To me, the only good song is blackout. I have the leaked album and the song burning in the sky is decent. Every other song is just so radical. I tried listening to this album not knowing who lp is but it still didnt change my opinion. I'll give te whole album a second listen but the thing that turned me off the most was the excessive use of the Jamaican accent. I'm pretty sure I would loved more songs such as wretches and kings if it weren't for that annoyance. I only say this because it just sounds to weird.
and I agree with "no name" where is there guitar player? did he get fired? they worked for tree years, why just 9 songs? This makes Meteora look like a great album I'm hoping it will grow on me but it doesn't look promising.
