2 years...really!?!

I'll always be a fan and probaly buy the next album (after I preview it) but this is extremly disappointing!

I personally fell in love with LP since I first heard "In The End", I went on to hear HT and Meteora and and I loved them, never thought I would ever like every song from an album until those two. Sadly that didn't occur for their newer albums, I've been liking LP's latest songs less and less.
In my eyes "The Catalyst" doesn't even begin to compare to "Breaking the Habit" or "Somewhere I Belong" (2 of my personal favourite songs).But I was never a fan of techno (would kill for another Meteora or HT). Though I may not like it, I guess that's LP, they'll surprise you, they'll give you something you never heard before, something different, and for sticking to their roots by always bringing us something new, I'll always respect them.

My gosh! The new album is awesome! Screw the haters, I mean LP has took it to another level. I love it. I don't have any particular favorite because all of the songs are just awesome. I can't get enough of it.

I love this new style. LP has evolved so much since 10 years ago. Yeah sure, most of the fans want the old LP, but time has changed, the world has changed, mindsets have changed and so does the sounds. You guys have got to stop demanding for the old LP and start accepting the fact that they have a new style and sounds now.

Awesome work on the new album, guys!! Love y'all.

Yeah man, I mean seriously, I've watched a little bit of 'Meeting of A Thousand Suns', and LP did a lot of hard work and effort. So yeah. I love their new album, I just don't get it how most of the fans can't see it. It's kinda sad, I hope LP doesn't lose hope on what they do best; make music.

Ok.. I listened to it on youtube.. so Glad I didn't buy it! that'd be a waste of 13 to 20 bucks.. there is only 2 decent songs on there that I can agree too. the rest should just be demolished. I know how it is trying out a new sound. But this is way to different to be the LP I love and respect. with this album released. it has officially destroyed my good thoughts of them. Until they release better stuff.

Dont get me wrong. I have loved LP since they first came out. but this CD pretty much fully blows huge donkey BLEEP!

The new album is seminal...amazing...inspiring...thought provoking.....best tunes (in my humble opinion)...Iridescent...The Catalyst...Burning in the Skies...The messenger...but that is because I relate to each in some way....music taht evokes a reaction is what I want...and LP never fail to deliver...WELL DONE guys!!!!!

I've been a LP fan since "In the End" first came across the radio waves. I still turn them up everytime they play on my iPod. That being said, this new album is AWFUL. And I hope the members of this band somehow get a chance to read this. Not so that they get a piece of my mind, but because I want them to realize that they're doing their fans a disservice by releasing material like this and trying to feed it to us by calling it ground-breaking. Yeah, it's DIFFERENT than anything I've ever heard before, but doesn't make the shit GOOD. When half the album is speeches and instrumentals, I have wasted precious money. Linkin Park is not supposed to sound like Coldplay, or 311, or U2, or any of that shit mixed together. They're supposed to sound like they did in Hybrid Theory. That shit was ground-breaking. People don't want to hear sad, sensitive Chester on every fucking song. That's not Linkin Park. If they're going to keep this up, they should change their name or something, because the music they put out on A Thousand Suns is giving a good band, a bad name.

The more I listen to Burning in the Skies, the more I love it

The Catalyst is still one of my favorites, along with Waiting for the End, and there's something about Jornada Del Muerto that I like, lol.

Though, my favorite thing about the album is when you play it straight through. Each individual song is really good, but the album listened to as a whole is amazing

That´s the thing I felt. I love the album as a whole, it´s the way everyone should listen to it. Burning in the Skies, The Cathalyst, The Messenger so far, 9/10

was that misspelling intentional? they just "toke" it to the next level? I swear to god, it's like you have to be high to enjoy this album. I can't believe the liner message was like "every song is like a hallucination" suggesting maybe they're into drugs now? How sad. I'm dissapointed and angry they came out with this album. M2M was a decent departure, but when you depart, you COME BACK or you lose the message. they're not carrying the fire anymore. they've bought into the s**t they claimed to never get caught up in: the commercialism. They lost me with this album. and judging by some of the other posts, I'm not the only one. the least they could have done was call it something other than "Linkin Park" because that is exactly what it is not. Remember "Crawling?" remember "What I've Done?" that band is dead. . .

this is not what I was expecting. my boyfriend and I are VERY disappointed. What happened to the band that we knew? I can understand feelings and thoughts change, but your style of delivering it shouldn't fully change. It COMPLETELY changed. There are maybe 2 songs that I'm sraight with, but the rest was making me wanna go to sleep. mainly all melody and sounds also. I understand also that a lo of work went into this album, I commend you on that. But bring the Linkin Park back that we knew. bring that style back. stop feeding into the chick magnet sh*t. mostly chicks would love this all mellow music. i'm not a chick that likes all into mellowness. I want something I can listen to in my car when I get off of work. My hunny and I are VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED! he's doesn't even think he's gonna put it on his computer. PLEASE BRING THE REAL LINKIN PARK BACK!
