I agree, I have matured and grown with the band over the years, and I think this musical direction makes sense if you know the point they are at in their lives.
You don't need to hold onto anger when you're a father and husband with huge success behind you.
I still find a lot of the "Linkin Park" sound in the album too, I just think they're used their abilities in a more powerful and direct way, rather than making everything subtle and genre-based, they've made the songs sound how they should for the highest emotional impact.
I really love and respect this album, and I can't wait to see them live in Decemeber.

i agree with you dex, ive been listening to linkin park for 10 years now, and i have loved the way they have evolved every step of the way, its been a good ride, i certainly cant wait to see what the future holds! for now ill just listen to a thousand suns over and over :). yeah they definately have grown up, i love the way this album sounds, listening to it from start to finish it almost tells a story you know, i can see it all in my head. one of my favourite albums for sure!

I love some of the songs on the new album but sure miss there old style as well. It seemed like this album was rushed. To be honest this album just doesn't sound complete to me like the last three. Not there best album, not enough songs.

Has anyone seen the making of ATS? Towards the end seemed like they where trying to rush the album...

hmmm....to me, they have reinvented themselve. And it's a very good thing ! I can't stand this "sheepy" industry anymore, at last a band who dare make things change and express themselves no matter what it cost.

Yep, I love it. It's very diverse and different. And that's what's awesome about it. And if poeple don't like it then don't be a fan of LP. It was a great album and I look forward to see them on tour. LP FOREVA!

If they are able to include a song or two with similarities to Hybrid Theory, they will be fine. I am open to most of the new stuff. It is different, but they definitely need to include some nu metal in every album. Its just who they are.

I so totally agree with you. Yes their newer songs are pretty good I guess but it would be awesome if there was metal in it cause like you said "its just who they are."

i love that linkin park change the style of their songs in every album that they make. I like all the song and every songs that chester sings.  I love chester. I cant wait to realise their new album to listen again something differend . Now i still listen all their old songs over and over again. I think that i will never bored listen lp .

It's evolved.. but somehow I don't think it's LP. In the last album they lost their energy which made their previous albums unique. I like ATS... it's just not quite as good as the old albums.

yeah thats right they sure are evolving I believe its just the start they are going to make much more awesome albums after this, still I loved the music in the latest album but they should have atleast made one metal song because thats what they realy do the best,
I'm not saying that the album was bad or something It was awesome but to me it just seems a little incomplete without a metal song thats all

I never really did like Nickleback, his songs rock, but I don't really like his voice, sorry!!
