If Lady Gaga was doing a concept album about nuclear annihilation and war, I think I'd have to check that out, yeah.

i also agree. This album sounds like absolute mediocrity. It's so dissapointing to see what I regarded as such a talented band deliver such a steaming pile of forgettable failure. I did not buy this album, I wont be buying it, and I really encourage anyone that regards themselves as a fan of the "true" LP to not buy it either.

What are you guys going to do for your next album? Be a bloody boy band? Come on guys! Quit smoking all that weed and make some real music....the stuff people will listen to for more than a couple of weeks.

Don't get me wrong guys am not saying LP suck I love this guys, its just the new album is terrible I still can believe they released that crap, I got the LP greatest Hits, now that's real music all my favorite songs on one CD, worth buying my friends

as much as it chokes me to say this i totally agree !!!! this was the first time id went out on the day of release to buy their albums .... was so excited all the way ,,,,, and hav to say there was a tear in my eye when i heard it !!!! and before anyone says it ... im all for new sounds !!! bbuuutttttt i also thought there woulda been something recognisable from the linkin park ive grown to know and love ... but nothing !!! if they had thrown in a few " traditional " sounding tracks id happily be sittin here tellin ppl how idiotic they were slating it but they hav done a total u- turn from the sound that put them in the position they are in today !!! at the end of the day they hav turned their backs on the very ppl who took them to the top only to turn round and tell us all they are goin what they want and to hell with us all !!!!! il always love linkin park but this is a bit of a slap in face

at least lady gaga makes the type of music she was put to the top for .... her fans and thats wat counts !!! maybe LP shoulda take note

It's selective and very opinionated to say that Linkin Park has gone away from the sound that put them in the position they are in today. Who wants to listen to the same thing over and over again. I doubt ATS is a real shocker to most. M2M was lightyears away from what Hybrid Theory was. Expecting a complete departure from Hybrid Theory was inevitable.
Just because YOU don't like the album doesn't mean it sucks... Just because I like the album doesn't mean everyone else should. Do you see where I'm getting at with all of this?

It is very opinionated, just because you don't wanna listen to the same thing over and over doesn't mean I and other people wouldn't, but that's not my point, what am saying is that they don't have to duplicate any of the previous albums but instead of havin all them skit song that no one talks or sing in, they could have given us one or two song of the music that got them to the top that we enjoy so much do we all agree on that one

Nobody wants to listen to the same thing "over and over" Ellis. However, many of us, dare I say most of us, would really love to hear something that sounds SOMETHING like Linkin Park. It doesnt have to be a numetal sound. What alot of us hoped for was something different, but powerful and hard hitting. Well, we got something different, totally lacking in power, and soft as flowers. That fact that you enjoy it speaks more for the person you are than the people like me who find it to be a letdown.

I've listened to the album and its put together very well. It's an irony that i like the two intro tracks most of all on the CD. The rest is "ok"....it all sounds "pretty good". But there is nothing fantastic, that blows your mind, that really picks you up and takes you to another level. Its mediocre.

The fans out there that are raging against this are actually just sad, because they know, like i know, that Linkin Park is capable of producing much, MUCH better quality music than this. They are way, way, better than mediocre, or "good". They are amazing, which is a hard mark to push, but they can do it, so when they dont...its dissapointing. Who knows if these guys even have another album left in them. Perhaps people are just sad at the growing realisation that what they've been hoping to hear for years might never materialise. But we should never say never (not even Linkin Park should) because we dont know what lies around the next bend. I guess that hope keeps me a fan. But like ive said in other posts Ive grown sensible, and I wont purchase ATS.
