Ummmmmmm..... This must be a pretty big album or somethin'..... doin' all this just to reveal A THOUSAND SUNS (is that like the album name or something?) and "The Catalyst /// August 2"..... All this kind of reminds me of Nine Inch Nails and what he did with his album Year Zero.....

The slashes were just to separate the type. It's not "The Catalyst III," it's just:
The Catalyst.
August 2.

Let's not assume what's an album and what's a single, shall we?

The Catalyst is the name of the single. The single is coming out August 2nd, not the album.
