ok.. i dont understand why people EXPECT something from artists. HT, Meteora, & MTM, were all incredible albums. artists are supposed to constantly be challenging themselves to try something new.

Do you REALLY want another copy of HT?
Do you want every song to sound the same?
Do you wish that every painting has a house a river and one tree?
Do you want your favorite tv show to have the same thing happen every episode?

no we want to hear a new album,
no we want a variety,
no cuz that would be unoriginal,
and no because then it would become predictable.

if you dont agree.. im sorry you cant accept change.

Linkin Park is a very unique band. they developed a sound that defines their name.
i challenge any of you to create an album that sounds like HT or Meteora, but not a rip off at the same time.

Linkin Park will make music based on what they think their music should sound like.
I absolutely agree with this!!! Why does everyone want another HT or Meteora if this is what you want then i would imagen that you already have the album - so play it! There are too many "bands" on the scene at the moment who aren't original enough for my liking. Personally i blame all of this X-factor nonsense. to me it's just "clone-factor".

That is why i admire Linkin Park. They are always developing/changing/trying new things out. True pioneers!

i dont think so bcoz what ever stuff linkin park had done is very different and innovative and
i hope upcoming album will be very different from their previous albums
I think what we do expect from LP is something that we could recognize that it is they, LP at the first time we hear it.
Even the new album would slap into my face, I won't mind.
I think LP will come with something futuristic very similar with what they created @ New Divide. It's good that they don't want to be doing the same music. Bands do that and with time people forget about them because they keep doing the same thing. LP will innovate..like always
Excellent!! I totally agree with you!!

Linkin Park is known for always creating something new and being different. Hybrid Theory was really big because of those reasons. Meteora was an extension of that. Reanimation was a perfect representation of that and so was Collision Course and Minutes To Midnight. Linkin Park is always pushing the envelope. My favorite album so far is Minutes To Midnight because they crushed everyone's expectation of what the album was going to sound like and came out with many positive results. The songs were more specific and had more depth. If LP's new album were to sound like Hybrid Theory I would be disappointed because it defeats the purpose of trying to be different in the first place. Nu-metal is a chapter that closed many years ago. Also, many of the fans of Hybrid Theory have grown up, and like evolution, their way of thinking and their taste in art also evolved. When Mike Shinoda was on "Last Call with Carson Daly" and he mentioned the comparison that Dave made about popular music and junk food I could not help but smile. I just couldn't agree more!
Not to stray away but look at The Beatles for example. If they continued writing songs like " I Want To Hold Your Hand", they would not have been as influential and big as when they wrote "Let It Be" and "I Am the Walrus". The fact is they simply grew up and so did their fans. I am confident that Linkin Park will once again push the envelope with their new album. Rock on.
i think some people are forgetting to realise that since going back in the studio theyve released 3 songs, new divide lockjaw and not alone, all a new style for LP, a taster of this new genre theyre talking about, and all 3 sound great...but yet people still hoping for HT/Meteora??...theyve shown us what theyre going for this time and isnt taking a step back, think that needs to be accepted now..
Thank you ElPimen

Yeah what U are saying its truth LP is in coutinuos growing up
not even one song sound like the others previous songs
and thats what make LP so singular and i hope that they never change
but i will be great if they write at less one song like Hybrid Theory or Meteora
Why?
Because thats what they start with
and we all love it. Im not saying that all the album is gonna sound
like the others before, it just be good to heard songs like what they start with.
I hope the new album come with the hybrid theory and meteora style!!!
well, hybrid theory still my favourite, but although minutes to midnight was different it was pretty awesome too, so i think this next album would be a bit of everything, therefore, an hybrid xD
I don't know but LP always give us a surprise!
