Carry This Love

 

Breathe into my soul
till my tears bleed
from this starless sky
lost in my past

Feel my sorrow
taking over everything
listen as the wind
carries this love
through the fires

Instill in me
no fear anymore
find me

Infuse in me soft whispers
listen to my soul
as it sings
as I am lost
in my past

Because nobody leaves out dirty dishes on purpose, right?

Broken Shadows

Feeling this pain
as it won’t go away

Fading faster
in which something
there stands in my way

Feeling these shadows
as they take over me
looking for which
shadow is the one that
is you

Fighting this feeling
that won’t go away
all caught up
as my broken shadow
bleeds

Can’t seem to follow
this severed island
in my mind

Facets of Crystal

If I were to write a song
It would shimmer like a star
Reach into your heart, mimic it's beat
And leave a gentle scar

If I were to write a song
It would be crystal like first snows
A bitter sweet serenity
Frozen immortally in it's pose

If I were to write a song
It would glisten like your tears
Shine bright into the depths of your soul
And wash away your fears

If I were to write a song
It would reflect like looking glass
To show the perfection in every flaw
A breathtaking image cast

If I were to write a song
It would ripple like a lake
Bring memories of better times
To help relieve the ache

If I were to write a song
It would be honest and undenied
If I had just written this song
Perhaps you never would have died

I'm so sorry for not replying earlier like I said I would. I hope you guys like this poem!

 

Haiku

 

They can't hear me,

can they?

The bunny circles my feet,

sniffing at the hems.

 

I continue to talk on the line

to somewhere in Gig Harbor.

They can't hear me, can they?

Windows are fashionably doubtful.

 

It's been long

Blip now circles her feet.

Have I been long?

Up the stairs and down.

 

I continue to say that nothing has changed,

and I can't remember haiku.

But nothing has changed,

I still remember the empty piano room.

What do you think of this one I wrote?

Ever So

Lost in a pool of dust,
looking up at this starving
moon as he hungers for his lost
tears that have become the stars.

In innocence I can find
a trace of heartache
and in wisdom I find
an abundance of dreams
filled with memories
of love.

Within this dark, I
am standing in the truth
awaiting your cry.

When the sounds fill
me with your soul
I know then that we
are a part of the
angels’ sigh,
forever seeking to pierce
the hearts of every man.

Still looking up
from my pool of dust,
in wisdom and innocence,
did I suddenly see
the moon smiling,ever so eloquently,
down at me.

Been a while since I've last been on here. Some good poems I see... and for some reason there appear to be strange adverts in the guise of posts pretending to have relation to this thread. A little bizarre but okay I guess. 

@Michelle your most recent piece was very good. @Harriet yours was very good as well. It's nice to see there's still credible poets out there :)

These pieces are just a couple ones I wrote up during a slow day at work. For some reason the second poem won't have a space that'll separate it from the first, no matter how many spaces I put between the two. So I guess ignore that lol.

additional alterations accrue

accusations against

avid aero advancements

always arranged amidst

arrivals as arrogant as acid alliance

asphyxiating asphalt animals

almost altered and accounted

around active amusements

aerodynamic as access

alienated assimilation

alas Aaron axed an autopsy

Trigger Happy

 

semi-ritual concepts

spitting rural mirrors at the blackboard

I dream no dream shared

plagued with outlined craftsmanship

and a spare motive

without a truth or decent respite

 

o' shower the cuckoo clock

with gold and riches

it's all it ever knew

Michelle, I think your poem 'Ever So' was beautiful. I really liked it. Ghost, you have quite an extensive vocabulary! 'A' was a twister, but still very cool and interesting. Your second poem was great as well. You wrote these poems at work? I must ask, what kind of job do you have?

@Harriet: thank you for your comments about my extensive vocabulary and the comments on my poem Trigger Happy :). As for the kind of job I have, I'm an account supervisor at a call center. Meaning I have decent amounts of off time during the day, allowing me to throw together poems every now and then.
