I would like to open a quick discussion regarding the "Report an Issue" feature.  Many of you have been using the feature to report problem users, account issues, and site issues.  THANK YOU!!! 

 

However, we have also been getting a lot of reported issues that aren't actually problems on the site.  The "Report an Issue" feature is to be used for the following: 

  • Adult content
  • Abusive content
  • Site bugs
  • Fraud/Fraudulent content
  • Spam

There is also an option for "Other" if you are having a problem that does not fit into the other categories. 

 

So, when not to use the "Report an Issue" feature?  Please do not use the feature to ask when Linkin Park will be touring, if they will be coming to your country/state/city, to tell us how much you love them, or to ask Linkin Park questions.  I realize it says you are reporting an issue to Linkin Park, but the band members do not actually get reported issues (I am hoping to have this updated so there is no confusion).  The site Administrators and Moderators receive reported issue emails.

 

If you have any questions, please reply to the discussion and we will do our best to answer any questions or issues you may be having.

there is such thing as adult content on this site? im confused..
Hi!

Posting adult content is against the Community Guidelines so if you see it we want to know so we can remove it. Thanks for your help!

yes do not post issues asking When LP will tour your country or why they wont. As stated numerous times before on several forums and chats the band has no control where they are playing.
Also, so you guys know, this is what happens once you hit "send report" (or whatever it says:

• An email gets sent to the Issues email box
• One of the moderators opens the message
• they take appropriate action

We don't sit around waiting for issues to be reported, so we ask that you only submit one (1) ticket, then just trust that we are taking care of it. Here lately we've been noticing some users send duplicate reports only 5 minutes after their previous one - and it's the exact same issue. So please give us time to notice :)

Also, if you are reporting a specfic user / content, please hit the Report link on the user profile (if reporting an user) or on the full page view of the content. We ask this because the report that is generated tells us where you are reporting from. (hell, here is a sample report)

A_User reported the following issue on LinkinPark.com

Also do not report an "issue" wanting the band to make certain songs, tour places and things that arent related to actual site issues. Its unneeded spam.

also if your making a suggestion use the suggestions forum on here to do it. Dont report it as an issue. We use what ning has to offer and ning is working to make what they have better so it takes time. no good website was built in a day and most good sites take time to develop into something better.

Also when reporting an issue make sure you explain the issue. When you give vague descriptions or like small 4 word details, we have no clue what your asking. And when reporting a person for being rude/evil/mean in the chat or profiles, Screenie/print screen it and send the link to lpuchatsupport@gmail.com so that we can see what you saw.

for those who dont know how to screenie things, have your chat window open, and the offending material showing and hit print screen. open a paint program and click paste. save it as a jpeg. and email it. simple as that.

I've been trying the test button for LPU9 on the Test Access page (http://ww3.linkinpark.com/testaccess/) and I keep getting a message I don't have access to that product. I know I'm an LPU9 member, so is this a glitch?
Did you switch your LPU 9 account from LPU.com to this site? You must do that first.

Check your email (including Junk/Spam folder) for an email from LPU HQ giving you a special code to switch the account over to lpu.lp.com ... you must do this by the end of the month or will forfiet the rest of your LPU 9 subscription

Yep, switched it over the day I got the email. To make sure, I tried to redeem the code again and got a message that the code had already been used (or some such similar message). I'm only concerned because the test access seemed to not recognize me at all.
