i didn't say i hate the album...because i havn't heard it. But i do hate the song

they aren't selling out, just exploring. - as others have rightfully said.

if you were a true LP fan like you say you are/were/whatever, you would give them a chance and hear out the rest of the album before having a hissy fit about it.
honestly, behaving like that i don't even think LP would WANT you as a fan.

I like it. Really isn't my favorite. But, it doesn't suck. It sure doesn't sound like rave music either... not to me anyway.

I don't know why people complain about their sound changing. I think it's, growing up and experimenting. I am sure, if their music were to stay the same, not many people would like them. The same thing over and over and over again gets old. I know if, I listen to something that never changed, I'd get board for sure.

And I agree with Alex -- They are being creative trying to do new things and you can't really base your opinion on one song. Maybe when the album comes out, you'll like it, Joesph.

so can you answer me this- why the hell are you still stalking the discussions about a band you've implied you don't even listen to anymore?

I'm not stalking anything, was just checking up on replies or is that some sort of crime now, all of a sudden? I don't think so. I'm merely replying to something I wanted to give my opinion on. Also, I'm still on these boards (like more folks from years ago) to see who is still active and around. There have been quite some people where the boards actually meant something to them. Oh, we call it nostalgia, though in this case, it won't mean anything to you.

You people are idiots that keep using this Pop Culture Sell out BULLSHIT STATEMENT. LP is doing the exact opposite of SELLING OUT. IF they were selling out they would make a Hybrid Theory 2 and it would sail to the charts. They are doing what they want to do as they grow and it still has that LP sound. They are no longer kids dealing with drugs, child abuse, screaming pissed off, struggling trying to make it in the art form, they have made it and are writing new, unique to LP style. This has to do with producer changes as well. LP released Hybrid Theory, Meteora, Reanimation, Live album, Xero Demos, Collaboration with Jay Z, Fort Minor, Dead by Sunrise I mean shit how much do these guys have to do to be appreciated and given the room to explore whatever musical style they want.

M2M was solid as well and was very different. Catalyst is strong, has guitars, good lyrics, a new sound and is one song thta went with a Video game, give the album a chance. No one gave LP a chance, the critics didnt think HT, METEORA were good at all, just avg joes coming after Limp Bizkit and Korn, but WE THE FANS made them one of the biggest ROck bands of 2000 to NOW. KEEP SUPPORTING THEM SEE THEM LIVE WHERE THEY KICK ASSS and the new thousand suns will just add more to the live show and there book of rhymes.

The same people bitching that they want OLD LP back would be crying if they made 7 albums that sounded like HT.

the thing is everyone looks for something different in a LP album, some love Chester, Mike, Rob, David, Brad, or even Joe Hahn. Me I look for all 6 of them doing what they do best..making music that helps us release our feelings and get us out of that bad state-of-mind that we are in. But it just doesn't happen with me with the Catalyst. And I've tried so hard to like it. I listen every couple days and I admit it has grown a little on me, but I'm still not getting those feelings. You know??

Well it is just one song but this song does do that for me n my daughter who has also been a big fan for years. Were cranken it in my ride, singen it n it makes us feel gd. So guess it will b difrent 4 each person, but it is just one remix contest song 4 a video game. Hav faith the album is cumen 2
