I thought we should have a place, where we can add news and articles about Linkin Park. Right now I found something shocking on the LP´s Facebook site.

Breaking News: Dave "Phoenix"
Farrell Leaves Linkin Park to
Pursue Pro-Golfing Career

In what is a shocking and sad
day for Linkin Park fans around
the world, Linkin Park bassist
Dave "Phoenix" Farrell today
announced his retirement from
the band, citing that the
upcoming fifth studio release will
be his last as part of the multi-
platinum six-piece.
Phoenix, who has been
recording with the band since
the Xero demo tape in 1997 and
officially joined Linkin Park in
2000 took to Twitter to address
the situation to his fans,
thanking them for the support
and dedication they have
provided over the years.
In what may be surprising to
some fans, it appears that
Phoenix will be substituting the
bass for the golf clubs as he will
now focus on his golf game and
pursue a full-time career as a
professional golfer, something
Phoenix has enjoyed as a hobby
up until now.

I really hope that it´s joke... but seems it´s not....

I have a word to say about this, please don't hate me for this. Despite my age (14), i have a 50 years' knowledge of rock in my brain. And this does not surprise me because of that. Eventually, Linkin Park is going to become an old band that wasn't nearly as famous as it was before and you guys are going to blame Dave for that. If u do, it disgusts me deeply, because it will probably happen even if Dave stays. This will be the first year i watch pro golf, and i will be a Dave fan no matter what he does. The same thing happened with the drummer for electronica band Depeche Mode, but i don't hate on him. Remember that Linkin Park will only last forever in our hearts, and to not hate on Dave because that means he will last in our hearts too. Thank You.
