I had that same problem with a fort minor militia boxset. I found it odd but I never got a response back from cust. support and Best Buy won't return anything that's been opened.

 

The only reason why I would assume it wouldn't work is because it's such an old boxset. That even though the codes haven't been used, they could be phased out at that years' end. At the same time though, it does say that it includes a membership; even though it's twice as much as it was 2 years ago, they should at least put that half towards a LPUX sub and you pay the difference, if that makes any sense.

@ fire eyes and caelum: LPU8 codes will not work anymore for LPUX. LPUX is not being sold as a box set in Best Buy anymore, as there is no actual package this year. there's no use talking to HQ because this is a 2 yr old set that you just got and since that box set was released, LPU has moved websites, site providers, and has changed the format of the LPU. my suggestion would be to keep the set as a collectors' item, and don't bother with trying to get HQ to honor your LPU8 code.

Best Buy didn't take a 2 year old box off the shelves. They totally wouldn't have ordered a new one and new LPU 8 boxes havent been manufactured. So you just happened to buy a box that was sitting for 2 years in that spot.

 

 

Try emailing HQ and see if anything happens

Well, here's the update:  I did try to get in contact with headquarters & didn't hear back.  So, I went a head and purchased a yearly UNDERGROUND Membership.  Now I'm tyring to find out how to get to the RSVP for the meet & greets...it seems to be a question for a lot of members.  I've already got my tickets for the Houston show, so it's just been REALLY confusing on the meet & greet part.
