LPUX Is Bad...

While LPUX does have it's upside, it has a major downside too.

I think LPUX should be changed back to the way LPU9 was. It was a special community with forums, exclusives and a whole lot of other stuff and now it's just a chat. The forums are on the LinkinPark.com website therefore anyone can actually just join and chat.

This years LPU costs the most it has, and yet it is the one with the least features.

I joined a few weeks ago for the first time to try and get a meet and greet. I didn't get picked. so, basically I payed $60 just to have a chance at a meet and greet. Other than that I'm not sure what I payed for.

THANK YOU. not that they care, but i hope someone from HQ sees this and sees how badly we've been ripped off this year. my meet and greet was one of the ones that got cancelled, and unless i renew in november, i'm not getting it back, ever. granted, i don't think i'll get it back even IF i renew, thanks to the LPU's M&G system, but oh my god - it pisses me off that i have to deal with this nonsense until i have to go renew.

I soooo agree!

I got my LPU9 last June/July and once LPUX was launched I couldn't redeem it, even having the 'password' sent by the HQ. I paid for the full year membership and had it for maybe 5 months. The only plus was that I won my Europe tour M&G pass before it was changed:)

Apart from that I'm seriously disappointed with this whole mess that was created;/

Cannot even imagine the furry of those that paid for LPUX and their M&G was canceled or simply didn't get it - such a waste of money...

This happened to me too. I have lost faith in what was a great Linkin Park Fan Site.

The LPUX CD is awesome, but it is not exclusive to LPUX members, therefore it doesn't count towards to $60 we paid for the package. The chat is good, but isn't anything amazing and not really worth $60.

If you signed up to get in a meet and greet, didn't get in, you honestly have wasted $60. Unless they make EXCLUSIVE forums, and add some other cool stuff there, it's bad and not worth the price they're asking.

I've already listed the many reasons why I'm not pleased with my LPUX membership in another discussion, so I won't repeat myself here. But I would like to say that I'm extremely disappointed to know that I have zero reasons to renew my membership in the future.

Aside everything else that went so wrong with the LPU this year, I still considered the membership to be worth what I paid if I could get a meet and greet with the band. Sure, it's the hope at a mere chance of getting in to see them, but that would be worth my money, right? Thing is, I'm a single mother. So, since it states in the terms and conditions that selected LPU memebrs cannot bring guests into the meet and greet, but children under the age of 13 must bring their parent, I signed up under my son's name. Lone and behold, we were actually selected. And in the confirmation e-mail, it again stated that children under the age of 13 must have a parent or guardian with them. So I e-mailed them back and told them that my son is under 13 so I just wanted to make sure that as his mother, I wouldn't have any issues of not being able to get in because my name isn't on the list. To which I recieved a reply that the meet and greet is only for selected LPU members, and they aren't allowed to bring guests in with them... Uhm?! I'm pretty sure I've seen pictures and heard stories about other people signing up with their kids names so that they can both get in, but apparently that's not allowed anymore. So, since my son isn't old enough to get in on his own, and I can't leave my son alone, and the LPU won't allow us to go in together...then a membership is definitely pointless for people like us.

Oh well. Maybe by the time my son is old enough to get into a meet and greet without me, the LPU will have gotten back on a better track.

Also, @pizzazombie, we're just expressing our thoughts about the memberships we paid for. If you don't agree, then so be it. But the rudeness really is uncalled for.

you really don't need to be that rude, dude. you may be having a good experience here, but a significant number of us are not, and we feel that our discontent should be voiced so that someone can (hopefully) fix the things that are wrong with this site/this LPU year in general. if you're going to react to us so childishly, keep your comments to yourself.

I think that LPUX iz a HUGE step back. The price iz nutz. That alone must have discouraged people from signing up or renewing. But I signed up thinking: "well, if itz almost twice the price, it must be amazing this year!" sadly that iz not the case. Even the pricez on the merch are crazy! No discountz on anything, the chat.......oh how I miss the old chat.....*snif snif! They gotta do something because people aren't happy and in some casez, people can't even get into thier accountz. NOT good!

If I had money I'd join even just for the chance of talking to Mike,Chester,Rob,Dave,Mr. Hahn,or Brad.....so you guys should be thankful. Their is a lot of people who can't afford it.:)
