As the final Strikeforce women's bantamweight champion, Rousey was awarded the UFC title prior to this fight and will defend it at the Honda Center in Anaheim on Saturday.
UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and challenger Liz Carmouche are set to make history at Saturday's UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. There's will be the UFC's first women's title bout, first women's headlining bout, and first women's bout, period.

"It’s tiiiiiiiiime"… for the ladies to have their turn in the UFC spotlight. While Bruce Buffer might not introduce UFC 157’s main event quite that way, it is indeed a momentous occasion as the UFC welcomes its first female fight between Ronda Rousey and Liz Carmouche as Rousey defends the bantamweight belt. Also on the card are Lyoto Machida, Dan Henderson, Urijah Faber and Josh Koscheck. Read on to find your desired location to watch all the fighting action.

Let's get this straight, UFC 157 is the Ronda Rousey show. Forget about Carmouche, forget about inaugurating women's MMA into the UFC. She is solely responsible for this fight being put on, and with her, everything else will fall into -- our out of -- place. She is intelligent, pretty and anything but soft spoken. To outsiders, Rousey is the most intriguing thing about the UFC since Brock Lesnar's unforgettable run, either because they are perplexed or charmed by her.

Find out how to watch UFC 157 fights LIVE online (YouTube) or anywhere else (iphone, Android), including local bars, for the : "Rousey v Carmouche" pay-per-view (PPV) event that will take place from Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., on Feb. 23, 2013.
Carmouche is about as tough and tenacious as they come, but I don’t see anything more prevalent than the poor match-up Rousey presents. Carmouche has won 5 of 8 by TKO but that’s attributed more to her frenzied volume attack than being a heavy-handed striker. Her game is grinding away in the clinch and on top, which are 2 positions that Rousey excels in. I’m not overlooking the possibility of Carmouche testing Rousey’s heart and resilience with a nonstop downpour of ground strikes and stellar submission defense, but I don’t see enough evidence to outweigh Rousey doing her thing. Ronda Rousey by submission.
