Linkin Park is a homage to the music group nu metal and alternative rock that came from Aguora Hills, California, in the United States. They had several times changed its name, such as Xero, Hybrid Theory, 0818, until the name Linkin Park until now. The name "Linkin Park" itself is a play on the name of a park in Los Angeles, Lincoln Park.

Mereka sempat beberapa kali berganti nama, antara lain Xero, Hybrid Theory, 0818, hingga nama Linkin Park sampai sekarang. Nama "Linkin Park" sendiri merupakan plesetan dari nama sebuah taman di Los Angeles, Lincoln Park.
