- For you English speaking people, my name is pronounced like 'regime', except said with an 'N'.
I am a tea-loving, metal-loving, ballet dancing, aspiring designer with a proudly Mauritian heritage. I'm inspired by the art from comic books; the likings of Manga and artists such as: Sam Liu and Danny Miki. I also love the work from designers: Jonathan Barnbrook, Rian Hughes, Angus Hyland and David Carson.
I LOVE: illustration, typography, packaging, music and clothing.
Through the work that I do; I like to try break the stereotype and surprise people in a positive way. I love and do ballet, yet listen to metal music; I like puppies, fairies and the word ‘bubble’, yet hate the colour pink. Someone once told me, that their opinion of me was that, I didn’t go out of my way to break the mold; it just happened naturally. – which I thought was pretty cool :)
I am always open to learning new things and feel that one can evolve and learn from everything they do.
Call it naivety or stupidity but I believe in hope and second chances; and have always asked the question:
'Why can't we all just get along?'
