I'm Japanese who speak Japanese as my first language and goes to school here in U.S. Trying to learn Spanish (due to the transfer to Spain in few years) in my free time. My family still live in Japan, they sure do not speak any English. Moreover, they do not respect Americans because of ethnocentrism. Therefore, my parents and I do not see eye to eye with many subject. My first year in U.S. was very intolerable to some degree. I came here as an exchange student in very small city and students were very ignorant to the world; therefore, racial discrimination against Japanese was more stronger than I imagined. Yet it's 2000s. During that time, I found out about Linkin Park through some kid listening to their CD with his CD player during a break. "Hybrid Theory" saved me and healed me from many struggles since then. I know there are many discrimination against unfair things. Such as life, and I think it's the beauty of learning things everyday. I just am grateful that I found out about them when I did. It helped me to really realize that there is a bigger world out there! I love how LP relates to society and the social/personal life struggles and put them into their music. Most of musicians do so; however, I love the way they interpret to the art!

I just saw your profile and noticed you went to America and felt you didn't like it much at first. There were a lot of Japanese kids coming to my school in Ohio, and I noticed the same thing kind of happening to them. Just want to let you know all of America isn't like that, there are a lot of nice people, lol. You probably know that by now. Sometimes I wanted to talk to the Japanese students, but I was afraid I might bother them. But I know they are pretty smart and really polite. So yeah, just keep doing your best. : )
Hi ms.p.b.k.b.p! I'm a member of 'Japan LP Fans' too, just thought I'd say hi since I very much understand what you say about Linkin Park's music as 'healing'. Their music saved me on many occasions too. I had pretty difficult first few months when I came to England to study on my own. Anyway, it's nice to meet you :) x
