The Grammys live streaming coverage will include the red carpet special running online from about 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. EST. This is when all of the big stars arrive on the scene to either present, perform, win awards, or simply enjoy the show. The red carpet fashion is often talked about for days, weeks, and even years after the awards show has ended. Whether there is some stunning new ensemble shown off by a singer, or someone commits a fashion crime, expect this to be the place where it might be witnessed first.

Of course the actual awards show is what many music fans are anxious for. While the main ceremony will only be televised, the interesting aspect is that there is more performance on TV during the show, rather than awards given out. The NY Daily News reported that "less than 10% of the 81 winners are announced on air." Instead, the music industry will look to showcase various genres to viewers and listeners, in the hopes of attracting them to new artists they may not have previously heard. Some of those who will perform include Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, and Frank Ocean.

There will be a live streaming presentation of awards online, where the majority of the statues will be given out. That coverage can be seen on the internet from 4 p.m. through 6:30 p.m. EST on a "Pre-Telecast Ceremony." There will also be performances featured at this time. From 8 p.m. through 11:30 p.m. EST, the Grammy Awards will be shown on CBS for television, with a "Multi-Screen Experience" available for those live streaming the event online. This special access can be seen on mobile devices, tablets, and computers in addition to what is shown on TV.
