To celebrate the release of A Thousand Suns on September 14, Linkin Park will be playing a special show that same day at the Best Buy Theater (formerly the Nokia Theatre) in New York City. We want to make sure LPU members and fans who pre-ordered A Thousand Suns have the first opportunity to purchase tickets since this is a small theatre, and this show WILL sell out.

As usual, current LPU Members, as well as fans that pre-order LPUX at LinkinPark.com/lpu by August 22 will be able to purchase tickets FIRST. Fans that pre-order A THOUSAND SUNS via the LinkinPark.com online store by August 22 will be able to purchase tickets before they are available to the general public.

In addition to the New York show, Linkin Park invites you to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime multimedia presentation of Linkin Park's new album, A Thousand Suns in Los Angeles on September 7. Participation is by invitation only. A select number of spaces will be reserved for current members of LP Underground, and fans who pre-order the LPUX Annual Membership.

We're looking forward to celebrating the album release with all of you.

LPU pre-orders available now at http://LinkinPark.com/lpu.

when is the general public sale?

100% agree with Patrick. We get screwed over by these pre-sale debacles and of course scalpers. Some people actually have jobs with meetings and conference calls and oh, working, where we can't sit & stare at forums for passwords and spend 2 hours on Ticketmaster.

What a nightmare - all we want to do is support our favorite band and totally get effin shafted even when we purchase some membership and pre-order this & that...........ridiculous.

Wooptydoo, I get screwed out of a chance again. I pre-ordered both the album and the membership. I get both codes, but of course they're sent 24 minutes after I go to work instead of before I go to work like they originally were suppose to. Now if I want to go (which I obviously still want to very very very much so) I'll have to spend a whole $136 on stubhub unless it goes down in price.

Of course you allow people to snatch up 21, 14, 13, and 12 tickets and not actually give unique codes for the LPU membership as I noticed. Only the album preorder got unique codes. And this allowed all these f***ers to make a decent profit and screw people like me out of going to a concert I've been waiting over a year to see.

for those of you who keep asking about where their seats are, Nokia (now BestBuy) Theater is all GA so there are no assigned seats. the front section and the promenade section behind that are standing room and the back section is seated first come first serve. this show is gonna rule. also only 2,100 people fit in this venue so people who keep bitching about not getting tickets after pre-ordering the album or LPUX you guys were bound to get screwed over sadly. there are definitely more than 2100 people who pre-ordered the album or the LPUX in hopes of going to this show on top of current LPU members (like myself). i got two tickets so i'm content.
