Dear LP, this album makes me uncomfortable. Indeed, it is on the one hand completely different from your first records but on the other hand it's definitely Linkin Park. However it seems that Brad an Phoenix are less active in this album, but I might be wrong. I mean that I miss the great riffs from Brad, and the loud bass from Phoenix. I am kinda disapointed by the excessive use of the "electronic" influence that A Thousand Suns has. I am not opposed to Joe remixes but, it feels like you needed a LOT of studio work to create your songs...It decreases the "authentic" creativity that you guys built along the records.

In my opinion it's too much and the influence of New Divide is obvious. As some people claimed and I agree with them, there are too many transition songs. At first sight when I saw the number of songs I thought that we would have a lot of variety in the playlist. However the transition songs are unfortunately small remixes of existing songs.

In the end, I would not say that the album is bad, and follow the "hating" flow of unpleased fan. Some songs like Wretches and Kings, The Catalyst and Iridescent are by far my favorites. The last song, the Messenger, in my opinion comes out from nowhere, Chester performance is amazing but I feel like this song belongs more to an Acoustic version of your discography that one day maybe you will produce.

By the way, I had the chance to discover some unreleased songs like No Roads Left (Mike extraordinary performance), She Couldn't and Across the line that blew my mind. I wish that one day we can have live or studio performance of theses songs.

Keep up the good work guys, after all theses years being able to surprise/disturb us like that is a real success for you.

This was honestly the best album I've ever listened to, all the critics that wronged it just don't have a clue. It's timeless.. just so damn amazing!!

We waited 2 years.
You debated 2 years.
And In The End.
It went your Way,
It went Our Way.
You did your part.
We will do ours.

I really enjoy listening to ATS because sound and texts seem so "pacifying". Nevertheless I do kind of recognize songs like "I am rock" in "WHEN THEY COME FOR ME" and "WAITING FOR THE END" sounds like 311, don't you think? But it's still very cool and LP did a great job, chapeau :)
