Dear LP,

Since that day in early September I knew there was definitely something special about your band. Listening to Crawling made me feel euphoric and it left me with a feeling of satisfaction that not many bands can help me feel. As your next album came out I did notice some slight differences while you were still staying true to where you came from, I couldn't ask for a better sophomore album to which this day remains as one of my favorite ones that you have produced. After this moment in your lives, many were speculating where you will go next as the genre you firmly established yourselves in was starting to find it's end. You released songs here and there that had some sounds of experimentation though they might have seemed like there was no clear purpose of what these sounds were employing. With a bit of tweaking and the constant tearing down of the songs your released, I believe you have finally reached your place of zen. I'm sure it was an extremely difficult road to take as there has always been constant criticism of your music and how you do things. I hope from here on out you continue to produce nothing less than what you have released on A Thousand Suns. I can't fully understand what I am listening to, but I know it's nothing similar to anything out there. This is album is a major leap of faith and I feel thankful you have let me experience it. The seamless blending of songs with the ambiance in between gives the album a distinctive feel as if you're trying to tell me a story from a certain point of view. Everything in the album is pure harmony. This album is the start of something. Many don't approve of what you have given us because some of us don't deal well with different changes. For them, there is a possibility that it will take time or they will just not come along for the ride. But for this moment, I'm glad I came along.

I'd like to thank you, very much. My appreciation burns brighter than a thousand suns. This album and your continued hard work means a lot to me.

Its definitely a new linkin park. Although it was not like "the old linkin park" it is still a great album by a great band. If this is the new direction that linkin park is taking with their songs and sounds then they still have my support.

At least they have the courage to break away and try something new.
