Hi guys,

We are deeply disappointed that we’ve had to cancel our second show in a row. It’s been a long time since we’ve played in your town, and were excited for you to hear the new music and see the new production. As you know, it’s not often that we have to cancel a gig–Chester appreciates all the love you all have sent on the website, and we know that it will help him to bounce back soon.

If you purchased your tickets through linkinpark.com, check your email over the next few days for details on how you will receive your refund. Also, we know it's not the same, but we'll send you a free audio download of any show from this tour.

Sincerely,

Mike and LP

CHES! GET BETTER, DAMMIT! YOU'RE TOO AWESOME TO BE SICK!

Just kidding. Get well soon, Chester. I only hope whatever bug you picked up wasn't from that good wholesome Detroit smog last month.

That is so sad :( Sorry to hear that Chester is not well but I am hoping that he gets better soon. You guys are true artists and any good fan would know that this is the last thing you want to do.

Best wishes from Ontario, Canada

First off, Mike Happy Birthday, make sure you try the ketchup first... :D

Second,  Everyone needs to remain positive.  It's an extremely, huge bummer for those of you that purchased tickets to either DC or CT but these things can happen.  HOWEVER, while as much as it is a downer, think of it this way.  Linkin Park and the venues have agreed to refund your ticket(s).  Depending on if you spent $80, $160, $200 etc...If they decided to reschedule you wouldn't have that money right now.  However, you are getting your money back and have money to fall back on, save more for a later show, or spend on something else.  Please, don't view it as a negative, it's still very positive.  Gotta remember that the economy is rough and alot of you went through extreme lengths for tickets.  It sucks I know and I completely sympathize with all of you BUT STAY POSITIVE. Two, Five or Ten years, no matter how many, your first LP show is going to be amazing and something you'll remember for a long time.

Very sorry to all the fans who were supposed to go see Linkin Park tonight in Washington D.C. and tomorrow in Uncasville, Connecticut. Once again, I hope the band can start playing shows again soon. I saw them in Toronto on Tuesday and they were amazing, even though Chester wasn't at his best. Regardless, I thought he gave his all. But for now, Chester needs rest. Get well soon, Chazzy Chaz. And happy early birthday, Mike Shinoda!
