It's great and wonderful that they're releasing this stuff and I'm buying it. But it's interesting how what Mike says doesn't actually condone fans creating remixes. It just mentions the fact that the band has noticed it. Then it says they're releasing "more tools to have fun with." Notice that "tools" does not imply to make remixes with and "have fun" does not in any sense mean having fun creating derivative works. The legal winged monkeys made sure that was clear. So I guess, legally speaking, we're supposed to just sit back and listen in our read-only culture and possibly just imagine what it would be like in a society that celebrated freedom of expression and read-write culture.

Linkin Park - please find a way ditch Warner and go independent!
