Following our performance tonight at Cape Town Stadium, we were advised that several people were injured as a result of the collapse of an advertising tower erected by Lucozade in the parking area outside the venue.

We wish to express our deep sadness and concern for those injured and our heartfelt condolences to the family of the fan who died as a result of her injuries.

Though we have had no relationship with the sponsor or the entity responsible for erecting the structure, we take the safety of our fans very seriously and our thoughts are with all of those who were affected by this tragedy.

RIP young girl. The concert should never have gone ahead. The howling wind destroyed any semblance of acoustics and the whole performance fell flat as a result. I left 3 songs in. No disrespect to LP. I was sorely disappointed and saddened by the unfortunate accident.

It's sad that the concert that I have been waiting a life time to enjoy will always hang in the back of my memory along with the accident. A truly awesome performance but with a dark cloud over it forever.

I truly hope that you guys didn't know about it before you played, because I expect so much of you and to have played without even saying something...well that just wouldn't be linkin park...so I truly hope that this is the case.

What have you guys always said:

If they fall down........PICK EM UP!
