I have a big question about this contest... Are we allowed to use demo versions or free software on this? The rules state
Submissions must not contain material that infringes or violates any right of a third party including: (1) copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary or contractual rights, it being understood that your use of the Branded Assets in strict accordance with these Official Rules (including these content restrictions) shall not violate this clause (1); (2) right of privacy or publicity; or (3) any confidentiality obligation;

If someone used demo software on this, and won the contest, then WB using the song for profit would violate the software EULA and possible result in a big lawsuit... Is linkin park going to re-make the winning song to ensure that it is legal to sell? Are we allowed to use demo software and other free programs to record and mix? It is not infringement to make the tracks with these programs as i understand, just to profit from it, so i am not sure if it violates the rules... I know a large number of people will be using this kind of software, though.
Can someone help clear this up?
