Linkin Park, featuring YOU winner announced

We've been calling it a premix contest: the "Linkin Park Featuring You" contest on MySpace has now come to a close, and we have a winner. No joking around this time...our winner is:

NoBraiN!!!

His real name is Czeslaw (his nickname is Chex) and he's an English teacher from Swidnica, Poland. I had an amazing conversation on Skype with him, where I told him the good news. Video of that is coming soon.

As I've said before, the quality of the MySpace remixes were amazing--even better than we had expected. Thank you all for your music and your votes. I'll be giving away a full list of the top 20 finalists here on mikeshinoda.com shortly.

In a couple of days, you'll be able to hear the real thing: our new single, "The Catalyst," comes out on MONDAY.

But then they came out and said they listened to the top 100 and then random ones, good to know another contest is a popularity contest.

Oh and when did Linkin Park become techno park? Im a huuuuge fan, have been since the beginning. But this "new sound" better not be like this remix. I did one, and i didnt expect to win, but i highly doubt it was even listened to.

Im gonna keep my hopes up im gonna like the new album, and congrats to the guy that won, but LP didnt use to favor the pop techno sound, change can be good, but not when emotional music becomes club dance remix i cant even find to make me relate to, unless i like to bump and grind and thats it. We love you guys for what you are, whats the need for change?

Personally, I think that is not the style of Linkin Park is a new song with the background the catalyst almost inaudible.
