Linkin Park, featuring YOU winner announced

We've been calling it a premix contest: the "Linkin Park Featuring You" contest on MySpace has now come to a close, and we have a winner. No joking around this time...our winner is:

NoBraiN!!!

His real name is Czeslaw (his nickname is Chex) and he's an English teacher from Swidnica, Poland. I had an amazing conversation on Skype with him, where I told him the good news. Video of that is coming soon.

As I've said before, the quality of the MySpace remixes were amazing--even better than we had expected. Thank you all for your music and your votes. I'll be giving away a full list of the top 20 finalists here on mikeshinoda.com shortly.

In a couple of days, you'll be able to hear the real thing: our new single, "The Catalyst," comes out on MONDAY.

But until then, go HERE to listen to NoBraiN's winning track, on the Linkin Park music player.

The 20 finalists are:

Not bad. But what surprised me is that someone from Poland won. Normally people from Western Europe and US win this so I'm really happy for NoBraiN :)

love Linkin Park, it's effectively all that i listen to, but i am quite disappointed with the new song. :( i like the lyrics and the singing, but the techno, it's...not Linkin Park, i think that the thing that was missing in the song was rock. When mike said that NoBraiN's remix will be similar to the album, i can't feel anything else except be worried about what it will end up like, because i am also going to the MEN Arena to see linkin park and i won't enjoy it if they play songs like "the catalyst".
There was a time when LP were probably the coolest band in the world and i think they acchieved this by singing songs like faint, one step closer, in the end etc. and by perfectly balancing soft rock, rock, rap and metal together to make awesome songs. I'm not sure if it's true but on youtube, people post these statistics saying that 8% of kids listen to rock and 92% listen to pop etc. We can't have Lady Gaga fans listening to LP! That's not right!
I've seen videos of LP live and look fucking awesome! especially when Chester screams, but i doubt it'll be that exciting playing techno at a concert. I know i seem very nostalgic and that bands always want to try something new, but that something new isn't working for LP, it was their songs that made them unique and awarded them with a countless number of fans. Hopefully, they will go back to their old ways of bursting our ear drums...in a good way :)

Sorry, but this Remix is not as well like this, because the other one which i post under is like old days with a kind of rock! ((Please listen to this, it is the best Remix till now i think)):

@Simon Mercer: Thats the reason why i listen this version. So you are fu**ing right! Unbelievable that they don't use rock like the old times when they did very amazing e-guitar riffs. Very pity! Many people doesn't know and so they are pleased with this kind of music which is a big MAINSTREAM bullshit (sorry for these words but i can't explain it on another way)! Techno.... will never work with rock!!!!
