Linkin Park, featuring YOU winner announced

We've been calling it a premix contest: the "Linkin Park Featuring You" contest on MySpace has now come to a close, and we have a winner. No joking around this time...our winner is:

NoBraiN!!!

His real name is Czeslaw (his nickname is Chex) and he's an English teacher from Swidnica, Poland. I had an amazing conversation on Skype with him, where I told him the good news. Video of that is coming soon.

As I've said before, the quality of the MySpace remixes were amazing--even better than we had expected. Thank you all for your music and your votes. I'll be giving away a full list of the top 20 finalists here on mikeshinoda.com shortly.

In a couple of days, you'll be able to hear the real thing: our new single, "The Catalyst," comes out on MONDAY.

But until then, go HERE to listen to NoBraiN's winning track, on the Linkin Park music player.

The 20 finalists are:

NoBraiN
DJ EnDorphin
Cale Pellick

Indy Sagoo
The Red Elephant
Transitbot
katsu
David Bonk

Well, I heard his version of it and if that what Mike said is true then Lp is falling to the bottom ;/ I hate techno music. Please come back to Meteora's style.

@Dan G
Bands shouldn't change their names because they change their style. That's your mistake. You're focused on the wrong things. I can still see Linkin Park in Linkin Park. And I love it. The change they make to their music will have to be enormous for me to dislike it.

the song isnt bad but i just dont like it as much as their older stuff but linkin park is always coming up with new stuff on every album, so no matter what direction they go, they will always be my favorite band

No, I did love Linkin Park and everything about them. Now they should change their band name. I have used Linkin Park songs to pump me up for competitions every since I was 12. Now they are making techno? After Minutes to Midnight I was worried about where they are going with their style. Now I officially am worried, and I may have to take them out of my "Favorite Band" spot.

Everyone who hates the new Linkin Park needs to wake the fuck up. You don't like LP. You like a music genre. So go find that and stop hating on LP for not being what you want them to be. Meanwhile, I'll be enjoying every damn thing they put out there.
