Following our performance tonight at Cape Town Stadium, we were advised that several people were injured as a result of the collapse of an advertising tower erected by Lucozade in the parking area outside the venue.
We wish to express our deep sadness and concern for those injured and our heartfelt condolences to the family of the fan who died as a result of her injuries.
Though we have had no relationship with the sponsor or the entity responsible for erecting the structure, we take the safety of our fans very seriously and our thoughts are with all of those who were affected by this tragedy.

It was indeed a tragedy, i was there and the wind was extremely strong even some of the speakers at the back was swaying due to the wind

My Condolences to the the victims family and the fans who got hurt. To think we in South Africa have waited 12 years for Linkin Park to come here and perform and now such a tragedy happens :(
I really hope Linkin Park makes some type of tribute or a minute of silence to the victim and fans at their last show in Johannesburg, because LP is already getting negative attention on the net.
Lastly I hope to God you guys come back next year please :(:(:(:(

This was terrible, considering it was a fun event and the Locuzade Tower was like a Tower of fun, considering that these fans came to see you, don't you think it will be awesome to play your piano version of Numb at her funeral? Think it is something she would have wanted, as she lost her life coming to see your show and never got the chance.
