Yes, with a K. People always mess that up.
Anyway, I have been a Linkin Park fan for as long as I have been listening to music. My brother would blast Hybrid Theory (the album, not the EP) constantly, so I finally asked if I could borrow the CD. After careful deliberation (my mom was wondering if it was appropriate for me to listen to a song at my age that repeated "SHUT UP!" over and over), I was finally able to and I spent the rest of the week sitting on the living room couch with my Walkman and my brother's copy of Hybrid Theory. I ended up taking this album later and I still have the same copy.
Ever since then, I have been for Linkin Park all the way. I lost a little bit of my love for them with Minutes To Midnight (what can I say? I just didn't like it that much) but A Thousand Suns reminded me why I love LP so much.
I still remember being 5 (yes, I was 5 when Hybrid Theory came out) and blasting Papercut and Points Of Authority constantly. As much as I have fond memories of the old Linkin Park and as much as they were my gateway to music with that album, I believe that A Thousand Suns is their finest work and I truly hope they continue in this direction, because they could make a borderline masterpiece.
Jeez, I talk a lot.
