We lost Zilda Arns. Everybody here remember his name when it comes to humanitarian aid. And she lived near here, my mother knew her, my cousin is a friend of one of the granddaughters of Zilda. Many people I knew was her friend.
We lost several Brazilian soldiers who were there to establish peace and organization.
Everybody lost. Everybody.
But, don't forget the hungry people around you, people who are living on the street in front of his house. They need shelter, food, education. Do not forget those who don't have anything near you. In your neighborhood, in your city, your state, your country. Not help only when something catastrophic happens. ALWAYS help.

É justo? Um país onde a desgraça já é proeminente. Onde 80% da população vive abaixo da linha da pobreza. O Haiti só não é pior que alguns países da África.
Mas não se ouve falar de terremotos na África.
Muito menos de terremotos que destroem tudo o que foi construído a muito custo, com muito sacrifício. E as consequências foram muito ruins até para nós, até para mim, que moro aqui no Brasil.
Perdemos Zilda Arns. Não há como não se lembrar de seu nome quando se fala de ajuda humanitária. E ela morava aqui perto, minha mãe a conhecia, meu primo é amigo de uma de das netas de Zilda. Perdemos vários soldados brasileiros que estavam lá para estabelecer a paz e a organização.
Todos perdemos. Todos.
Mas não se esqueçam das pessoas que passam fome perto de você, das pessoas que estão morando na rua em frente à sua casa. Elas precisasm de abrigo, comida, educação. Não se esqueçam de quem não tem nada perto de você. No seu bairro, na sua cidade, no seu estado, no seu país. Não ajudem apenas quando acontece algo catastrófico. Ajudem SEMPRE.
