LP's Mike Shinoda: Film Score for The Raid

The first feature-length film score by Mike Shinoda. The Raid (Serbuan Maut) is an Indonesian action film hitting theaters this spring. The Raid has already won a handful of awards, and premiered at Sundance Film Festival last week with Mike's score. Here are some things people are saying:

"The music explodes as the film begins and the soundtrack (from composers Mike Shinoda and Joe Trapanese) does not let up, keeping pace with the action and adding to the overall adrenaline rush of the film."
- Filmschoolrejects.com

"I caught The Raid last week at a pre-Sundance screening with its new score by composer Joe Trapanese and Mike Shinoda - yes, of Linkin Park - and can attest that the early praise was well-earned because holy crap, it's amazing."
- Movieline.

"Like a shotgun blast to the face, Gareth Evans' martial arts extravaganza, The Raid explodes on Sundance screens this week with a bone-crunching punch."
- Salt Lake City Tribune

"Evans has managed to bring the most gloriously brutal and entertaining action film to be seen in years."
- Blogcritics.org

"One of the most anticipated films at Sundance, The Raid is a flurry of flying fists, feet and sweat, all to the rhythmic score provided by Mike Shinoda and Joe Trapanese."
- Tracksounds Now!

"Their work is outstanding to say the least, giving momentum with a fury of electronica and beautiful strings. Never overbearing, it gives another layer of "cool" to Gareth Evans wildly inventive sophomore effort."
- The Film Stage

somehow i prefer to see asian action movies, because the action is really intense and they don't need to exagerate it to make my heart blows up
