A lot of fans can write a detailed story about how they have been a member of a fan club since the beginning, and be able to tell their stories to other current and past fan club members, so where do I come in? Unfortunately I didn't have that luxury to tell my story from the very "beginning," but I can tell you my story of how it took me ten years to join one of the greatest inner circles one could ask for. This is me, and this is my LPUX Story...

December 13th, 2010 - I will be honest I think what got me to joining the LPUX on this day was the fact that Mike Shinoda announced he was doing a band member chat on livestream I do believe on the 17th of December. I could be wrong, because he might have announced that he was doing a band chat a few days later. Regardless the first day I signed up I met some other LPUX members that were happy to be there, and some said that it was their first in the chat for this year of LPU. I can feel their excitement, and we all started talking about how cool it would be if Mike Shinoda came in and talked to us as only few people at that time could get into the chat. A few minutes later AdamLPUHQ came in, and enabled the settings to the chat; so that people from LPU9 could come in. When I saw people from the previous year come flooding in, and starting to say who they were I knew this was going to be an interesting year for me.

And an interesting year it has been! At first I had a rocky start, because I knew no one in the chat; and everyone seem so familiar with each other, and I seemed to be the odd one out. I couldn't remember anyone's name at first and my attitude seemed kind of bleak at that point. I debated with myself if I should continue coming into the chat, because of all the things that were happening; and I thought I wouldn't make any friends. How wrong I was though....

After a bit of a struggle (and some convincing people to get me on cam) I was able to make some friends that I could talk to. I even got to hang out with these people off site! I knew things were going to turn around for me, and they have.

Later on in the year I was sad to see that some of the people I came to know and love were expiring soon. I wasn't too happy about this, because I felt like I was losing some of my friends; and that I won't be able to keep in touch with them. Unfortunately some of this has happened to me, and I really miss my friends; but I am happy I still keep in touch with the ones that have expired.

Hardships came and gone, but every obstacle I have encountered had always seem to work its way out some how. That's ok though as the months went on I met new people, laughed, cried, and even experienced a few (ok many) awkward moments; and I wouldn't trade them in for anythings. This has got to be my most memorable LPU experience by far, and I still have till the middle of December to keep on learning. Then I can say so long LPUX, and hello to LPU11!

January 22nd 2011 Atlanta, GA  - I must say if it wasn't for LPU I wouldn't have had the best Linkin Park experience of my life. I got to meet new people, hang out with friends that showed up at the last minute (this was a big shock for me!), and being picked for the meet and greet. I had an awesome time during my meet and greet and if anyone's interested in my review please click on the link above to read my report. It's in more detail, and explains all my adventures from this date.

LPUX CD - I am not sure what I can compare the CD too since I only owned one LPU CD in my entire life, but I love it. At first I had some problems getting the CD, because of shipping; but when I had it in my hands I was very excited. As soon as I opened it up I took my car keys, and left my apartment to go play the CD in my car. Lucky for me I just went on the interstate 95, and just blared the music like I didn't care about anyone or anything around me. After I got done listening to it I became happier with my purchase, and really liked everything on it.

In conclusion to all this I am just really happy I was able to meet great friends that I have considered family, meet Linkin Park, purchase my first LPUX CD, and experience many adventures in the LPU Chat. I hope next year will just be as great as this one.

XOXOXOX to my LPU Family

I love your writing, Ally! Could agree more with you! I just joined LPU last month. At first, I felt like an outcast talking to people who had known each other for a long time. But yeah, you're right! The more I come into the chat, the more I feel comfortable talking to all of you... You are all nice and warm.. xoxo ~ Adriana (aurelfossa)
