Seriously? what happened to Linkin Park?

I'm sorry guys, I know you probably worked really hard on making this album, but I've just gotta say that I was utterly disappointed with the cd.

I'm a die hard Linkin Park fan and have always loved everything they do, but I'm sorry this cd was beyond disappointing. I was sooooooooo excited that my favorite band of all time was coming out with another cd and I bought that cd as soon as I could today, and when I listened to this cd I was utterly disappointed, and quite frankly shocked. I was like okay guys this is a joke right? where's the real cd that you came out with today, I just couldn't believe that there are 15 tracks on this cd and there are probably only 4 real songs on the entire cd. What's with all of the little interludes? and pointless interludes at that, when I first listened to the cd and like after the first interlude I looked at what track number I was on and it already said 3!!! I was like how the heck did that happen? Do I have a defective cd? I just couldn't believe that I paid 21 bucks for this cd (because I bought the cd that came with a shirt). I just feel like I can't even go back and relisten to it because there is nothing even there to listen to. I'm sorry but Linkin Park is going to have to come out with something amazing in order to redeem themselves. I'll always be a fan of Linkin Park and will not stop listening to them but I really hope there is better music in the future.

I was never really a musical person... I never did listen to music at all until I heard Numb. then I bought the song, and listened to it a bit. Soon enough I listened to music all of the time, but mostly Linkin Park. IT WAS SO GREAT, I actually enjoyed music! but then when I hear the new album was coming out and I was all exited and all that... but then... I actually heard the songs and didn't feel the same satisfaction with Linkin Park's  music as I had before. And even though the songs were not bad, they weren't what Linkin Park fans really want.

I to myself am a Die Hard Linkin Park and a I agree, what happened to the old Linkin Park? Alls A Thousand Suns is good for is putting me to sleep. The Only songs I like on there are, When they Come for me, and Wretches and Kings. I miss the Hybrid Theory, and the Meteora days. Were they On drugs on this album? I mean come on they use to be heavy as hell then they just turned soft. I hope to god the 5th album is nothing Like ATS!

I agree. I am not here to rant but this album and the last one are terrible. Given Up and Bleed It Out were the only two tracks I liked off the album, and they were great. You guys are a rap rock awesome band. You are trying to take on a U2 like persona it seems like. Stick to your roots. I extremely dislike, almost hate these new cds. Hybrid Theory, Meteora, Reanimation. Those are classics, please come back

I loved Hybrid Theory and Meteoria and thought Minutes to Midnight wasn't bad but no where near as powerful as the first two albums. Like all of you I bought this album as soon as it came out hoping for another power packed album like early albums had been. To say I was disapponted is an understatement. This is by far the worst album I have ever purchased. It's full of filler (i.e. interludes) and frankly I think the band is just going thru the motions. They will quickly lose a large percentage of their fan base if they continue to put out poor albums like this.

I am very disappointed also. I LOVED THEM! It almost feels like they are going backwards. I loved Hybrid Theory the most, then Meteora. I did not really like Minutes to Midnight at all. When I saw they were coming out with a new one I was soooo happy! And then I heard it....I could have cried! Where is the Linkin Park I remember?? If you are going to change things up this much you should at least do a double CD. One disk like the old you and the other for the new stuff. You're breaking my heart guys...I won't be buying a new album until I confirm first that they went back to the old style. I will be playing Hybrid Theory in memory of the old you....

thank you for agreeing with me for the post that I had made. I also agree with what youre saying and I feel your pain. And from the looks of it we're not the only ones that feel this way. (on the bright side at least you got a nice shirt out of it!)
