Dear Sir/ Madam
Greetings from SERUDS ( www.serudsindia.org )
It is a pathetic story of a Dalit Brilliant Student, who is dropping from study of MBBS. His parents are agricultural labourers (cooli). They have been struggling to eke out their daily bread. With great difficulty they were able to educate their only son Mr. S.Gopinath. He did hard work and able to secure rank in the Medical entrance and obtained a seat in MBBS at RIMS, Kadapa. He completed his 1st year of MBBS in 2009. The drastic floods of October 2009 badly affected the livelihoods of his parents. Their village is SUNKESULA of Kurnool Mandal and District, which has completely submerged and their family lost everything. Now they are living in temporary shelter constructed with tarpaulin sheets. Considering the poverty and old age of his parents, he is thinking of dropping study of 2nd year MBBS and to do some private job to feed himself and his parents.
If philanthropist and donors support for his education, clothing and boarding, he would complete his MBBS and take up dignified profession of DOCTOR. If nobody supports, the burning desire of his parents to see him as a doctor and his hard work will become futile. The Society will loose the services of a brilliant student. We feel that it is our bounded duty and responsibility to encourage and support the brilliant students of disadvantaged sections of the society. Therefore we appeal and request, the kind hearted philanthropists and Donors to generously donate and support for his education and boarding.
