My mum said I have to earn the money to get my LPU plus pass, but wont give me an allowance, and I have a medical condition that means I can't work. Is it just me, or is that really, really unfair?

My fav era in history is the 1st European contact / settlement of North America - especially the Spanish, French & English colonial era and their different approaches to treatment of the Native Americans.  The English were interested in money 1st land 2nd and rights of the Indians last,  The French treated the Indians with respect and a fair amount of equality.  The Spanish just wanted the gold, land and to instill Catholicism at any price....even if it meant extinction to the Indians.
